Arab League

LETTERS FROM THE CHAIRS

Dear Model UN Delegates,

Welcome to DAMUN XIV! My name is Kriya Raveendran and I’m so excited that you are all here to join us this year!  I am a junior at Uplift North Hills Preparatory and this will be my third year with Model UN. I am thrilled to be co-chair along with Vibha for the Arab League. I can’t wait to meet you all and hear all the creative arguments you have to offer! DAMUN is a conference for delegates of all experience levels. It is a collaborative and interactive space where you don’t need to be afraid to voice your opinions on a topic. It would be helpful to know the basic procedures for delegating as it will help bring more ease to this experience, but other than that at DAMUN you can learn from others and practice your own delegating skills by stepping out of your comfort zone and speaking up. I hope you all have a great time and good luck! If you have any questions please feel free to contact me @ kriyaraveendran@gmail.com.

Good luck and see you all soon!

Hey Delegates!

My name is Vibha Arvind, and I am a junior at Uplift North Hills Preparatory. This is my third year in Model UN and my second time chairing a conference! My co-chair Kriya and I are incredibly excited to work with all of you and make your DAMUN experience enjoyable! All throughout the past two years, I have thoroughly enjoyed Model UN and I truly have learned so much by joining this club. I remember delegating at DAMUN XII my first year and I had the best time! Delegating at a Model UN conference is such an amazing experience and at the end of this, I hope you think so as well. Please don’t hesitate to email me with any questions that you might have at vibha.arvind@gmail.com. Please remember to research your topics, brush up on parliamentary procedure, and most importantly have fun! I look forward to meeting you all at DAMUN XIV and I hope all of you will have an amazing experience at this conference! Good luck!
