LETTERS FROM THE CHAIRS
Hey guys!
I’m Anusri Chinni, your ICJ chair for DAMUN XIV!
I am a current senior at Uplift North Hills Preparatory. I have been in Model UN since Freshman year, and I am super excited to see you guys in this conference. Throughout the years, I have learned so much from meeting delegates from different conferences, and I can’t wait to meet all of you! Attached you will find the background guide that contains all the prior information you will need for your research, position paper and to prepare you in general. Read through it thoroughly, and feel free to ask either of us if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing what you guys bring to the table!
DAMUNate,
Anusri Chinni

Greetings Delegates!
I’m Sruti Pabbisetty, and I am excited to be your chair for DAMUN this year.
This is my second year of Model UN and first time being a chair. Last year’s DAMUN was my first Model UN conference, so I look forward to helping conduct it this year. Through the conference, I had to promote a delegation with unpopular views. This was a pivotal moment in my MUN experience because it pushed me to improvise, problem solve, and network in order to find a common ground with other delegations. By the end of the conference, I knew I wanted to pursue this for the rest of my highschool career since it offers an opportunity to develop skills that I will use for the rest of my life.
I can’t wait to hear your incredible voices and perspectives. Whether this is your first conference or you're a seasoned delegate, you’ll have a place for your voices to shine in ICJ, and we’re so happy to have you here. I look forward to hearing you represent your delegations and don’t hesitate to email us if you have any questions.
Best Wishes,
Sruti Pabbisetty
