Esteemed Delegates! 

My name is Shreeya Kolli, and I’m so excited that you are all here to join us for DAMUN XIV! I'm a junior at Uplift North Hills, and this is my third year in Model UN, as well as my first time chairing a conference. I am thrilled to be chairing the General Assembly. If this is your first time participating in a Model UN debate, don't worry! DAMUN is welcoming to all delegates. The DAMUN Conference is intended for new and experienced delegates, so we want to ensure everyone has fun debating and meeting new people. I look forward to meeting you all and listening to the debates in the General Assembly! Welcome to DAMUN XIV!

My name is Herbert Melgar, and I am thrilled and excited for you to be joining us for DAMUN XIV! I am currently a senior at Uplift North Hills, and this is my first time chairing a conference. I am grateful for the opportunity I have to be here and am excited to be moderating this debate. I cannot wait to hear what new ideas you all bring to the table, as well as possible solutions that can be brought about as a result of this discourse. The issues discussed deal with real people and real problems that we as a species collectively face, so any new insights into these issues or discussion surrounding them are more than welcome!
