LETTERS FROM THE CHAIRS

Delegates (or secret agents, as I like to say),

My name is Sarayu Nadella, and I am excited to introduce you to DAMUN XVI! I am a junior at Uplift North Hills Prep, and I will be chairing our fictional crisis committee, “No Time To Comply." This is my second year participating in Model UN, and it will be my first time chairing a committee. This committee presents a unique case for us to solve and an adventure to embark on with your fellow delegates. I hope we all work together to reach an enjoyable conclusion—whether that means the world is taken over or the mastermind turns out to be one of our very own delegates! Overall, I encourage you to have fun, engage in problem-solving, and work diligently towards a resolution.

Hello Delegates,

I’m Iman Shaikh, and I’m honored to serve as one of your chairs for the DAMUN XVI conference. I am a senior at Uplift North Hills Preparatory, and I’ve been involved in Model UN long enough to know that the most exciting and action-packed committees are the ones where delegates are fully committed to the story at hand. That’s exactly what “No Time to Comply” will ask of you—quick thinking, sharp instincts, and a willingness to take risks. This committee is not about following a script, it's about creating our own story throughout this process. Your choices will shape the direction we take, whether that leads to things that have been expected, or things that may be unpredictable. I hope that each of you gets to walk away with not only a solution to the problem at hand, but also the excitement of having played a role in a story larger than yourself.
