My name is Thaarika Shanmugam, and I would like to welcome you all to the General Assembly Committee at DAMUN XVI! I am currently a senior at Uplift North Hills Preparatory, and this is my second year in Model UN. This is my first year chairing a committee, and I cannot wait to hear all the ideas and resolutions you guys come up with. I am excited to see what you have to say about some of the world’s biggest issues at the moment. Make sure to do your best and put your best foot forward, but most importantly, make sure to have fun! Hello delegates,

My name is Reyansh Laha. I am currently a sophomore at Uplift North Hills, and I have the opportunity to serve as your chair for DAMUN XVI. I have had the chance to be a part of three different Model UNs, including last year’s DAMUN XV General Assembly, and each time I have learnt something new about this club. This will be my first time chairing, and I look forward to your fruitful debates and teamwork as we tackle topics that reference current events and engage with each other to create resolutions.
