Crisis Committee 1

LETTERS FROM THE CHAIRS

Greetings delegates!

My name is Neel Pant and I am a junior at Uplift North Hills Preparatory. This is my third year doing Model UN and my second year chairing the Crisis Committee at DAMUN and I am very excited for this upcoming committee. While I can’t reveal much, what I can say is that this isn’t a standard committee. Crisis is going to be different from any other topic you’ve debated in that we don’t go by UN standards. This committee is unchained from a lot of the regulations and official rules of the United Nations and you will have the power to do whatever you want with little to no regulation. Each person in the committee will have their own goal and not everyone is on the same side. The last thing that is necessary is that you trust no one. That was a major fault for many last year.

See you all soon,

Neel Pant

Hello dear delegates,

Congrats on being part of the coolest committee in DAMUN. My name is Zahira Zuniga and I am so excited to share my third and last year in DAMUN with you all and chairing for the first committee I was ever part of! Crisis is a lot of fun, make sure to prepare yourself with your usual terms but be ready to think outside the box in order to survive in Crisis 1. Anything is possible at any given time, keep your enemies close and your allies closer because you'll never know who could help you reach your goals. But most importantly, be excited and be ready to get into character! We both hope you have an amazing time and can't wait to be your Crisis 1 chairs, think outside the box, be ready to fight anything that comes your way, and strive to help us make this an amazing committee for everyone new or returning members, and remember!

Be prepared,

Zahira Zuniga
