Hey Delegates!

My name is Mihir Madabushi, and welcome to DAMUN XIV! I am currently a senior at Uplift North Hills Preparatory, and I am excited to be your co-chair for this year’s Security Council. Model UN has become one of my strongest passions in high school, and I know many of you can concur. This club has allowed me to delve outside my comfort zone, and today, I challenge all of you to do the same. I challenge you all to learn, to grow, and to put your best foot forward so that we can have an amazing experience. Delegating at a Model UN conference is unforgettable, and by the end of today, I hope you all can attest to this. Hello Delegates!

Welcome to DAMUN XIV! My name is Madhulika Srusti, and I will be your 2023 Security Council co-chair! I’m currently a sophomore in high school, and this will be my first time chairing a conference– so I’m definitely reliable! I joined Model UN in my freshman year and have been completely invested ever since. Model UN so far has taught me so much, not only about the world but myself and my abilities as a delegate. Seeing delegates work together to find solutions to these real-world problems while throwing in a bit– no, a LOT of chaos is so exciting to see!
