Esteemed delegates!

Welcome to DAMUN XV ECOSOC! My name is Nithyashri Ramesh and I am overjoyed to be a part of this year’s conference as your ECOSOC chair. I am currently a sophomore at Uplift North Hills Preparatory and this is my second year in Model UN. This is also my first time chairing a conference, and I am incredibly excited to be a part of this enriching experience! I look forward to facilitating thoughtful debates on important issues and getting to see everyone’s unique perspectives combine to form a common solution for each of this conference’s topics. Every time I have had the opportunity to participate in a conference, I have always come back with a new perspective on the world and a greater awareness stemming from the connections I have made with other delegates, so I am enthusiastic to help create this journey for you too! This happens to be my first time chairing, but I am eager to take this opportunity and give you the best Model UN experience possible. I can't wait to hear all your amazing ideas navigating the intricacies of international diplomacy and watch you collaborate to find creative solutions to the global challenges before us.
