International Court of Justice

LETTERS FROM THE CHAIRS

Delegates,

I’m Srijita Kommaraju, one of your ICJ co-chairs for DAMUN XIV this year. I am a senior at UNHP, and this is my fourth and final year in Model UN. I have been delegating for four years now and chairing for about three, so I have a plethora of experience with running conferences. I know ICJ can be more confusing than typical committees, but don’t let that scare you because, in the end, it is still a valuable learning experience that you can gain a lot from. If this is your first time delegating, welcome aboard, and if you are a seasoned delegate, I hope DAMUN XIV surpasses your expectations. If you have any questions about procedures, delegating, or even how to write a position paper, please don’t be afraid to reach out (I am always available to help) at: srijitak032@gmail.com.

I look forward to seeing everyone in the committee!

Dear Delegates,

My name is Tulasi Komanduri, and I’m so excited to welcome you to DAMUN XIV as your ICJ co-chair! I’m currently a senior at UNHP, and this will be my fourth year in Model UN. I’m so happy to be here this year and get involved, just as I hope you all do too! Make sure to take the time to make yourself comfortable with ICJ procedures and look over the background guide because ICJ tends to be rather different than a normal committee. DAMUN is a great place to learn and enjoy your time, even if it is your first time delegating or if you’ve been doing this for years and years. Put yourself out there, and you'll indubitably have tons of fun!

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me through my email: TulKom3335@students.uplifteducation.org
