A letter from the executive:

Dear honorable Delegates, Advisors, and Friends of DAMUN,

It is with great excitement and honor that I welcome you all to the seventeenth session of the Dallas Area Model Unitd Nations Conference. Whether you are stepping into the door of Model UN for the first time, or returning as a venturn delegate, our conference offers a place for everyone to gorw and challenge themselves in the spirit of diplomacy.

I have been in Model UN for the past four years, and I can confidently say this club has been a cornerstone of my growth. Early on, I remember sitting in commiteee overwhelmed by everything happening around me. Over time, navigating intense debates and drafiting resolutions alongisde delegates from all over the orld taught me that leadership is not just about being the loudest - It's about listening and lifting others up. Today, I stand eager to pay that experience forward and help each of you find your confidence at the DAMUN

This year, we’re especially proud of the exciting and diverse lineup of committees our team has crafted. We have tailored this conference to be an empowering experience for both beginner delegates taking their first steps into debate and experienced delegates looking for a rigorous challenge. Alongside addressing serious global topics like  in the Human Rights Council and diving into creative crisis scenarios, we have added many brand-new committees, including our new special, high-level Ad Hoc committee. Designed to test quick thinking, and complex strategy, Ad Hoc promises an unmatched experience for delegates ready to tackle dynamic, unpredictable challenges.

I cannot wait to see the passion, creativity, and diplomacy that each of you will bring to DAMUN XVII. Let’s make this conference truly unforgettable!
